舌下含服藥物應置於舌下吸收，不可吞服。藥物需避光存放。使用原則為間隔 5 分鐘服用一次，最多 3 次，若服用第一劑後仍未緩解，應於 5 分鐘後服用第二劑。若 3 劑仍無效或出現嚴重胸痛，必須立即呼叫緊急醫療服務。
Sublingual nitroglycerin should be placed under the tongue to allow rapid absorption that bypasses first-pass metabolism. The medication must be stored in its original amber container to protect it from light and heat degradation. If chest pain persists after three doses taken five minutes apart, the client should call emergency services immediately.
