LPN/LVN 在執照範圍內可協助執行常規藥物給予、針對既定目標進行衛教強化以及穩定病人的傷口護理。然而，首次全面評估與制定照護計畫屬於 RN 的核心職責（ADPIE 中的 Assessment 與 Planning），必須由 RN 親自執行，以確保照護品質與安全性。
LPNs/LVNs may administer oral medications, reinforce teaching previously established by the RN, and perform wound care on stable surgical incisions. However, comprehensive initial assessments and developing the initial plan of care are reserved for RNs as part of their core responsibilities in the nursing process. Delegating these advanced tasks to an LPN would exceed their scope of practice.
