在災難現場（Disaster triage），護理師面臨的是資源極度匱乏與傷患眾多的情境。此時最高指導原則是「確保自身安全與環境安全」，若環境不安全，護理師本身亦會成為傷患，導致救援鏈崩潰。在確認環境安全後，才會依據檢傷分類原則（如 START 系統）進行優先次序處理。救護過程需保持冷靜，優先處理對生存機率影響最大的傷患。
At a disaster scene (disaster triage), the nurse faces a setting of severe resource scarcity and multiple casualties. The highest guiding principle in this situation is to 'ensure the safety of self and the environment'; if the environment is unsafe, the nurse may also become a victim, causing the rescue chain to collapse. Only after the scene is confirmed safe should triage proceed according to established systems (such as START) to set priorities. Throughout the rescue process, nurses must remain calm and prioritize casualties most likely to benefit from intervention.
