在大量傷患事件（Mass Casualty Incident）中，護理師需評估病人是否具備出院條件（Discharge Readiness）。優先建議出院的對象應為病情已穩定、不需要急性醫療監測，且能於家中或長期照護機構繼續後續治療的病人。凡是處於急性期、需手術或需密切監測生命徵象的病人，皆不可出院。
In a mass casualty incident, the nurse must assess whether clients meet discharge readiness criteria. Clients who should be prioritized for discharge are those whose conditions are stable, who do not require acute medical monitoring, and who can continue follow-up care at home or in a long-term care facility. Clients who are in the acute phase, require surgery, or need close monitoring of vital signs cannot be discharged.
