在護理委派（Delegation）中，RN 必須遵循「五項原則」。LPN/LVN 適合執行穩定病人、常規性、技術性的護理任務。無法委派的任務包括：護理評估（Assessment）、護理診斷與計畫（Planning）、病人教育（Teaching）以及處理不穩定或複雜的病人。選項 A、C、E 均屬於常規且穩定的護理範疇，適合委派。
Appropriate delegation to an LPN/LVN includes administering oral medications to stable clients, performing sterile dressing changes on chronic wounds, and reinforcing teaching previously initiated by the RN. Tasks requiring initial assessment, care planning, or primary patient education remain the responsibility of the RN.

台灣護理師較少使用「委派（Delegation）」此詞彙，台灣 RN/LPN 職責重疊度較高。但在美國 NCLEX 考試中，必須嚴格區分 RN 與 LPN 的執業範疇（Scope of Practice）。
