Tasks that can be delegated to an AP/UAP are routine, predictable, and do not require nursing judgment, assessment, teaching, or medication administration. Obtaining a pulse rate, assisting with hygiene/showering, and collecting a urine specimen meet these criteria. Sterile dressing changes (B) require assessment and sterile technique; oral medication administration (D) is outside the UAP scope of practice.
