Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) is the cornerstone of modern professional nursing, emphasizing the integration of the best research evidence, clinical expertise, and the client's values and preferences. The nurse must possess the ability to critically appraise literature in order to discriminate the quality of research and apply correct scientific knowledge to clinical care, rather than nursing based solely on personal experience or traditional habits.
