病患安全（Patient safety）的核心在於預防跌倒。病床車輪若未鎖定，當病人試圖起身、扶握病床時，病床極易滑開，導致病人失去支撐而跌倒。這是臨床上最直接的安全威脅。護理評估時，環境安全（Environmental safety）的檢核應優先於其他瑣事，確保所有輔助設備皆在安全狀態是護理師的首要職責。

The core of patient safety is the prevention of falls. If the wheels of the bed are not locked, the bed can easily slide away when the patient tries to stand and reach for support, causing the patient to lose support and fall. This is the most immediate clinical safety threat. During nursing assessment, checking environmental safety should take priority over other tasks; ensuring that all assistive equipment is in a safe condition is a primary nursing responsibility.
