INR 主要用於監測維生素 K 拮抗劑（VKA）類的口服抗凝血藥物。Warfarin、Acenocoumarol 和 Phenprocoumon 皆屬於此類。Heparin 和 Enoxaparin（低分子量肝素）則需分別監測 aPTT 和 Anti-Xa 因子活性，不適用 INR 監測。
The INR is used primarily to monitor vitamin K antagonist (VKA) oral anticoagulants. Warfarin, acenocoumarol, and phenprocoumon all belong to this class. Heparin and enoxaparin (a low-molecular-weight heparin) are monitored with aPTT and anti-factor Xa activity, respectively, and are not assessed using the INR.
