UAP 可協助觀察與回報病人變化、送餐與清潔照護。但衛教（Explaining isolation）與專業評估（Assessing psychosocial status）皆為護理師職能。即使是隔離病人，UAP 亦需在受訓後，於遵循隔離規範下執行上述任務。
The UAP may assist in observing and reporting changes in the client, delivering food, and providing hygiene care. However, patient education (explaining isolation procedures) and professional assessment (assessing psychosocial status) are nursing responsibilities. Even for clients in isolation, UAPs may carry out the tasks above after appropriate training and while adhering to isolation precautions.
