壓力性損傷（Pressure injury）好發於骨骼凸出處（Bony prominences），由於皮膚在這些部位與骨骼間缺乏足夠的脂肪與肌肉緩衝，長期受壓會導致微血管血流受阻，進而造成組織缺血壞死。常見高風險區域包括薦骨（Sacrum）、腳跟（Heels）、大轉子（Trochanters）、手肘（Elbows）及肩胛骨等。
Pressure injuries commonly develop over bony prominences. In these areas, the skin lacks sufficient subcutaneous fat and muscle to cushion the underlying bone, so prolonged pressure obstructs capillary blood flow and leads to ischemic tissue necrosis. Common high-risk areas include the sacrum, heels, trochanters, elbows, and scapulae.
