Generalized Anxiety Disorder is characterized by excessive, uncontrollable worry about everyday events. Common assessment findings include restlessness, difficulty concentrating, muscle tension, and sleep disturbances. Flashbacks are specific to Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and are not associated with GAD.
