張力性氣胸（Tension pneumothorax）是致命的急診。空氣進入胸膜腔且無法排出，導致胸膜腔壓力升高，造成縱膈腔偏移（Mediastinal shift），壓迫心臟與大血管，導致靜脈回流受阻與心輸出量驟降。首要治療是立即進行針刺減壓（Needle decompression），將積聚的氣體排出，恢復呼吸與循環功能。在減壓完成前，其他醫療檢查或插管皆非優先。
Tension pneumothorax is a life-threatening emergency. Air enters the pleural space and cannot escape, causing rising intrapleural pressure and mediastinal shift, compressing the heart and great vessels, resulting in impaired venous return and a sudden drop in cardiac output. The priority treatment is immediate needle decompression to release trapped air and restore respiratory and circulatory function. Until decompression is complete, other medical tests or intubation are not priorities.
