石膏固定後需密切觀察「6P」症狀以防腔室症候群（Compartment Syndrome）。冷感（脈搏弱）、無法活動、止痛無效的疼痛、麻木感都是神經血管受損的警訊。毛細血管回充時間 2 秒在正常範圍內，無需特別處理。
After cast immobilization, the "6 Ps" must be monitored closely to detect compartment syndrome. Coolness (with weak pulse), inability to move, pain unrelieved by analgesics, and numbness are all warning signs of neurovascular compromise. A capillary refill time of 2 seconds is within normal limits and requires no special intervention.
