Furosemide 屬於環利尿劑（Loop diuretic），在肺水腫（Pulmonary edema）急性期，其靜脈注射（IV push）具有雙重效應：一是利尿作用，二是直接的血管擴張作用。藥物能迅速擴張靜脈系統，減少回心血量（降低前負荷 Preload），從而減輕肺部鬱血與呼吸困難。這是治療心源性肺水腫的急救用藥機轉。
Furosemide is a loop diuretic. In acute pulmonary edema, IV push furosemide has a dual effect: diuresis and direct venodilation. It rapidly dilates the venous system, decreasing venous return (reducing preload), which relieves pulmonary congestion and dyspnea. This is the mechanism behind its emergency use in cardiogenic pulmonary edema.
