After total hip arthroplasty, strict positioning is required to prevent dislocation. Hip flexion must not exceed 90 degrees, so low chairs and deep sofas should be avoided. An elevated toilet seat is needed. To maintain hip abduction during sleep, a pillow is placed between the knees. Crossing the legs is strictly forbidden because it adducts the hip and increases dislocation risk.
