Enoxaparin is a low molecular weight heparin. The air bubble in the prefilled syringe ensures the full dose is delivered and should not be expelled. Inject into the abdominal subcutaneous tissue at least 2 inches from the umbilicus. Do not aspirate or massage the site, as this increases the risk of bruising and hematoma formation.
